Back in May 2024, Amazon revealed that they'd ordered a new Tomb Raider TV series for Prime Video, from none other than "Fleabag" writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge and co-showrunner Chad Hodge. Fast-forward to January 15, 2026, and the streaming service marked the beginning of production by sharing a first-look photo at lead star Sophie Turner ("Game of Thrones") in costume as Lara Croft.
While we don't have too much more info about the series, save for a cast list that also includes the likes of Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Bill Paterson, and Celia Imrie (among others), it's safe to say that excitement for the series is already building, and if you're looking to stream something with a real sense of adventure in the meantime, I've got you covered.
