I bifurcate my life before and after Write India: Author Jyoti Jha at Times LitFest Delhi

A perfect hub where there is a celebration of art in a way that touches everyone’s life, Literature Festivals are the best places to meet new authors, interact with renowned writers, make friends, learn, and discover more about books, writing, and literature in several ways. One of the most awaited literature festivals of the country, Times LitFest celebrated its seventh edition at Sirifort New Delhi this year. Themed around ‘One World Many Words’, the event set the stage for stimulating exchange of views on literature, books, and ideas in the presence of some of the best authors, poets, theatre artists, lyricists, scriptwriters, and filmmakers from across the country and the world.

An HR-turned-Author Jyoti Jha participated in the session ‘From Write India to Published Author’ as a panelist speaker in the grand event, where she spoke about how participating and winning the title of Write India by The Times of India has hugely impacted her life and steered her journey into writing in the second inning of her life. Having been on a career break and globetrotting with her family, Jyoti was in the process of rediscovering herself when Write India came as a huge shift, and she ‘bifurcates her life as before and after Write India’. Conceptualized by the Executive Editor, Times of India, Columnist, and Director- Times Literature Festivals, Vinita Dawra Nangia, Write India has been no less than a revolutionary campaign in the literary world with the sole purpose of creating a platform for aspiring writers. The winning title propelled Jyoti to tread onto a literary path, helping her discover the writer within, and how her books have been largely emotion-driven, thoughts-driven, and situation-driven. An eminent speaker at the IITs and IIM Lucknow, an honorable judge at the Kashiyatra, IIT BHU, and a receiver of several literary awards and accolades, Jyoti contributes to both Hindi and English Literature.
