A gran who befriended a pair of swans formed such a deep bond with them that they even followed her when she moved house.
Angela Davies first met 'Mr Swan' - as he became known - and his mate 14 years ago, after she stepped out to feed the birds near her home in Duffryn, Newport, an area of the city crisscrossed by a network of man-made waterways known locally as ' reens '.
"All of a sudden I saw these two white heads pop up from behind some bushes and, from that moment on, they've been coming back every day," said the 73-year-old, adding that they even bring their babies to show her each year.
