NEW DELHI: Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has expressed his readiness to take on a significantly higher bowling workload as he prepares for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which will be held in India from October 5 to November 19. He acknowledges the importance of balancing his roles as a bowler and a batter, likening his approach to that of a turtle rather than a rabbit, indicating a gradual and measured progression.
Pandya is currently part of India's white-ball squad for the series in West Indies. He had a two-month break after the conclusion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on May 29. During this time, he took a month off to switch off mentally and then underwent a rigorous three-week physical conditioning program at the National Cricket Academy, focusing on both skill development and fitness.
