HYDERABAD: The Rachakonda police arrested three offenders for robbing a truck driver at gunpoint and decamping with a load of tyres recently.
On February 17, the accused stopped a truck carrying a load of tyres from Tamil Nadu to Hyderabad at Tukkuguda.
They got into the truck requesting the driver to drop them in the city.
After getting inside the cabin, the accused threatened the driver at gunpoint and drove the vehicle to an unknown godown after blindfolding the driver along with his aide.
The trio unloaded the tyres at a godown and let off the victims after abandoning the vehicle at Pahadesharif.
Based on the complaint of the victims, the police nabbed the accused and recovered property worth Rs 44 lakh from their possession.
