Huw Edwards is taking a break from TV for rest of the summer

Welsh BBC news anchor Huw Edwards has revealed he will be taking a short break for a few weeks to enjoy the summer holidays and will be returning in September. The 60-year-old Welsh journalist, whose career has spanned more than 30 years, took to Instagram to inform his 35,700 followers of the update.

Huw, who shares five children with his wife, said: "You deserve a break - from me! Take care and see you in September." He added the sentiment in Welsh: "Cymerwch ofal bawb a mwynhewch." This translates to: "Take care everyone and enjoy"
