Huw Edwards drama defended for being ‘proper public service broadcasting’

  • The real-life victim, whose identity is protected, consulted on the scripts for the dramatisation.
  • Huw Edwards pleaded guilty in 2024 to making indecent images of children, receiving a suspended prison sentence and being added to the sex offender’s register.
  • Executive producer Samantha Anstiss described the drama as “proper public service broadcasting”, emphasising that child pornography is not a victimless crime.
