Hustlers star Keke Palmer confirmed she is expecting her first child on Saturday Night Live.
The Nope actress, 29, announced the happy news when she revealed her baby bump during her monologue on the US comedy show.
Keke made reference to rumours surrounding her pregnancy during her speech, saying she 'wanted to set the record straight'.
With a mischievous look in her eye, she then threw open her blazer, declaring: "I am! I'm gonna be a mom!"
The actress' news was met with a flurry of whoops and cheers from the audience.
Once the celebrations began to die down, the former Nickelodeon star said that it was "bad" when individuals "spread rumours about you."
"But it's even worse when they are correct," Keke joked before explaining: "I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low because I got a lot of stuff going on.
"You know, people kept coming up to me, ‘Congratulations,’ and I’m like, ‘Shhh, can y’all stop? I got a liquor sponsorship on the line,'".
Telling the audience her pregnancy was her "biggest blessing", Keke went on to thank SNL for allowing her to host the iconic show.
“When I first got into comedy, and I dreamed of standing on this stage, I asked myself, ‘Keke, who will you be? Will you be like Maya Rudolph? Eddie Murphy? A Kristen Wiig-Type?’ And now I can tell you exactly who I am: Baby, I’m Keke Palmer," she declared.
Shortly after the monologue aired, Keke's boyfriend Darius Jackson, also known as Darius Daulton, uploaded a super sweet snap of the actress cradling her baby bump with the caption: "2023" plus a heart emoji.
Keke and Darius went public in August 2021, but prefer to keep their relationship out of the limelight.
Speaking about fans' reactions to the couple's pregnancy, Keke said: “Even though some people feel a little weird about me having a baby ’cause I was a child actor, I just wanna say, look, I’m 29. I’m grown. OK, I have sex. I own a home.”
The actress shot to fame in 2006 in the film Akeelah and the Bee, playing the titular role.
Keke then went on to bag roles in Hustlers, Lightyear and thriller Nope, directed by Jordan Peele.
