Husband who tried to pass off wife’s death as suicide found guilty of murder

A husband has been found guilty of raping and murdering his estranged wife and staging a scene to make her death look like a suicide.

Jurors who convicted Michael Thompson of suffocating Kimberley Thompson at their home last year were not told that the 56-year-old’s former partner died in suspicious circumstances in July 2000.
