Hurricane Milton is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain as it moves over the Florida Peninsula. The storm's wind field, which includes sustained winds of 39 mph or greater, has been rapidly expanding in size.
As of Wednesday, the wind field already stretches for more than 300 miles, covering a significant portion of the state. By Thursday morning, it is projected to grow even larger, reaching a span of 425 miles from Miami in the south to Savannah, Georgia in the north.
