Hurricane Milton wreaked havoc on Florida's Treasure Coast, bringing with it strong winds, heavy rain, and destructive tornadoes. The storm resulted in the loss of homes and tragically claimed multiple lives, prompting local officials to declare it a historic tragedy.

The Treasure Coast, comprising Indian River, Martin, and St. Lucie counties, bore the brunt of the storm's fury. Indian River County experienced four confirmed tornadoes, causing two non-life-threatening injuries. The aftermath left power lines strewn across the county, particularly on the beach side, and several bridges impassable due to damage and downed lines.

Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers urged residents to remain indoors due to widespread flooding that has rendered many roadways impassable. In Martin County, numerous injuries were reported, and dozens of homes suffered damage as a result of the storm.
