An Irish weather forecaster has revealed that Hurricane Martin could pass close to Northern Ireland this weekend, bringing further win and rain to the area.
Martin, which came hot on the heels of the arrival of Hurricane Lisa, is the seventh hurricane of the Atlantic season and strengthened into Category One yesterday morning.
Accuweather forecasters warn that the changing conditions over the open Atlantic waters may result in Hurricane Martin maintaining intensity and potentially surviving the trip to Ireland and the United Kingdom, though it is unlikely to have a major impact.
