ORLANDO, Fla. — The National Hurricane Center continues to watch an area of low pressure in the eastern Caribbean.
As of 8 a.m., the NHC said an area of low pressure has a 30% chance of forming over the next five days.
Meanwhile, another storm in the southwestern Atlantic continues producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
There’s a 20% chance of development over the next 48 hours, but only a 30% chance over the next five days.
The system is expected to hang just southwest of Bermuda and become less conducive for development by the weekend.
NHC was tracking a storm near Bermuda on Tuesday, but that storm is now gone.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs through Nov. 30. The season has produced 12 named systems including Hurricane Ian which struck Florida last month.
The next named storm would be Tropical Storm Lisa.
