Hunter Biden announced the launch of a new meme coin named $LAPTOP, satirizing his 2020 laptop scandal and President Donald Trump's cryptocurrency ventures.
The $LAPTOP coin will debut on Coinbase's blockchain network Base on Wednesday, coinciding with President Trump's midterms convention in Dallas, Texas.
The total supply will be one billion coins over two years, with 20 percent reserved for individuals who lost money on President Trump's $TRUMP coin, as well as select newsletter subscribers.
Thirty percent of the token supply will be burned if specific conditions are met, such as a Democrat winning the 2028 presidential election or Bitcoin reaching a new record high.
The move comes as President Trump's $TRUMP token has crashed nearly 97% from its peak, causing significant financial losses for retail traders.
