A pensioner was attacked by three thugs as he walked home from a mosque after evening prayers. The 73-year-old worshipper was walking along a road when the trio got out of a black vehicle on York Street, in King's Heath, Birmingham.
One yob can be seen kicking the OAP forcibly in the back, causing him to fall and smash his head on a display board outside a bar. The gang then fled the scene at around 11pm on Wednesday evening (March 29) while the victim was taken to hospital with a broken hand and cuts to his face. West Midlands Police has now launched a hunt for the attackers, while the victim's family has also appealed for information on social media.
His daughter wrote on Facebook: "Last night at around 11pm my dad was violently attacked by a group of thugs on York Road as he was on his way back home from the mosque. They assaulted him from behind and left him unconscious on the footpath bleeding out.
