Hundreds of mourners gathered to pay tribute at the funeral of a brother and sister who died following a horror car crash.
Three-year-old Jayden-Lee Lucas, also known as Jayden-Lee Wheaton, tragically passed away in hospital just five days after his four-year-old sister Gracie-Ann.
The siblings were on their way to a birthday party when the car they were travelling in was struck by a van on the M4 motorway on February 5, 2022.
Mum Rhiannon Lucas was also taken to hospital for treatment, Wales Online reports.
The driver of the van attended Cardiff Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
He also pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The funeral procession left the family home in Tredegar on Monday, March 21 before passing the children's school, Deighton Primary School, and travelling to a service at St George's Church.
Moving photos from the service showed the procession led by two horse and carriages, one for each child.
Gracie-Ann's coffin was Frozen themed, while Jayden's was Spiderman themed, to represent their interests.
Elsa and Spiderman characters also led the procession.
The service was told that Gracie-Ann was remembered for her “cheeky smile”, and that she loved Disney, “especially loved Frozen” and dressing up as characters like Moana.
She loved her music and dancing and was a "wonderful big sister”.
Reverend Matt Davies said that Jayden-Lee was "clever and loved gaming".
He added: "He loved being active and kicking about the ball. He also got into watching football, Gracie-Ann also tried to join in with this"
After the church service the procession travelled to Sirhowy Valley Crematorium in Blackwood where a second service was held.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow played as mourners entered the crematorium and Jealous of the Angels played while people remembered the two children.
The children's parents also led a dove release after the crematorium service.
Messages of condolences to the family paying tribute to Gracie-Ann and Jayden-Lee were left on flowers at the crematorium, alongside wreaths forming the words 'prince' and 'princess'.
One read: "Gracie-Ann, all your aunties at little teddy will miss you. Take care of your little brother. Forever in our hearts."
Another said: "Jayden-Lee, it's unreal all the amazing times we had together doing videos. We loved doing dancing with you. You really lit up every room you walked in to."
