Hundreds turn out for funeral of Scots teen who died playing football at school

Hundreds of people have turned out for a colourful funeral to celebrate the life of a Scots teen who tragically died playing football at school.

Andrew MacKinnon, 15, collapsed and died at Forrester High School in Edinburgh on March 14, while playing with friends. Schools in the city closed early today so pupils could pay their respects.

He was buried today in a coffin bearing the Hearts FC club crest on it. Former player and manager Gary Locke was among the those who paid their respects at St David’s Broomhouse Parish Church in the capital on Friday.
