Hundreds of warning notices and cars clamped after enforcement action begins at Nottingham tram stop

Hundreds of motorists have now had their vehicles clamped or issued with warning notices over breaking car parking rules at The Forest park and ride. Nottingham tram operator NET recently launched a new campaign to target motorists for offences including parking on walkways and outside bays.

Since the campaign began, on October 17, around 80 vehicles have been clamped at the Forest Park and Ride and more than 240 warning notices have been issued for minor infringements of the rules. Once a vehicle is clamped, the driver must pay a fine of £140 for their vehicle to be released.

The campaign involves monitoring the site due to an ongoing problem with drivers parking outside of bays, parking in disabled bays without a blue badge, blocking transformer substations and pedestrian walkways.
