There are fears of major job losses at Twitter's Dublin offices as Elon Musk's chaotic takeover continues.
The billionaire CEO of Tesla bought the social media company for $44 billion with the help of backers, and reports indicate he is planning to cut 3,700 jobs - half of Twitter's global workforce - as well as introducing an $8 monthly fee for being verified. Staff being let go will be informed via email to their personal account later today, while staff being kept on are set to receive an email to their Twitter email account.
Staff have been advised not to show up to the office until the emails have been sent out. Twitter employs 500 people at their Dublin offices, which are also at risk.
