The participation of two key people from the political network of President Donald Trump in the election campaign of a pro-Russian Bosnian Serb politician has ignited an unusual discussion within the Republican Party regarding issues of money, lobbying, and the line between private and governmental politics. As per Al Jazeera, citing reports in The New York Times, James Blair and Chris LaCivita are believed to have provided consultation to Milorad Dodik, the prominent leader of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, prior to the October 4 elections in the country.
According to sources, the duo was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for the consultation.
