Hundreds of jobs still available at Manchester Airports group - here's how to apply

Hundreds of jobs are still available at an airports group that has been hit by lengthy queues and other issues impacting passengers. Manchester Airports Group, which also includes East Midlands and London Stansted Airports, is still recruiting to fill a variety of roles to meet increased passenger demand.

The recruitment drive is continuing as government ministers have stated that background counter-terror checks on staff by airports and airlines will reportedly be relaxed in a bid to tackle travel disruption caused by staff shortages. Companies will be allowed to train staff before their security vetting is complete under the proposals, which have been revealed in a leaked letter.

Changes could take place within weeks, although new staff will not be allowed to work in areas of an airport with access to aircraft and runways until security clearance is complete. Full details of the Manchester Airports Group vacancies are available here.

Opportunities are available in customer services, hospitality and operations as well as business support functions and other key skilled roles. There are also vacancies with third party suppliers and outlet operators, which can be accessed through individual jobsites.

Meanwhile, to meet the increased demand following the easing of travel restrictions, Terminal Three at Manchester Airport, which has been partially re-opened since March 27, will fully re-open on April 22. All passengers flying with Aurigny, British Airways, Eastern Airways, Iberia Express, Loganair, Ryanair and Vueling should now check in at the Terminal Three entrance.

All arrivals in the airport will also exit from the Terminal Three building.

To help ease check-in and security delays, flight, passengers should arrive at the airport three hours before their flight and also familiarise themselves with the rules for security. This includes having large electronic items out and ensuring all liquids, gels and pastes are under 100ml and in a clear re-sealable bag.

Even though the UK government has now scrapped Covid-19 travel restrictions, passengers are still reminded to check the advice for the country they are travelling to in advance of departure. Passengers with specific queries about their flights should contact their airline directly.
