Hundreds of Dubliners were up at first light this morning to show their support and to raise funds for the annual Darkness Into Light events that took place across the country.
This year saw the event take place in a multitude of locations across Dublin, Ireland and the world, all organised to raise vital funds for suicide charity Pieta House.
The point of the event is to complete a walk during sunrise, with events in Dublin having started at 4.15am this morning.

It comes as full scale walks and events which had not taken place since 2019 have made a return.
In Clontarf, hundreds of people walked, jogged and cycled along the route which began at the Clontarf Seafront at Alfie Byrne Road at 4.15am.
Meanwhile other official Official Darkness Into Light walks are taking place in Cabinteely Athletic Club, Clontarf, DCU Campus, Malahide Castle, Marlay Park, Phoenix Park, Ringsend, Swords Rivervalley and Tymon Park.
Pieta House offers vital mental health support to people who are in suicidal distress, those who engage in self-harm and those bereaved by suicide.
All of Pieta House's services are provided free of charge. These services include a freephone for those in crisis, a text message service and in person one-on-one therapy sessions
Many Dublin businesses including cafes are also open from early this morning to support those taking part in Darkness Into Light events.
