Hundreds line streets as parade takes over city centre

Hundreds lined the streets to see Liverpool Scottish Regimental Association parade through the city centre.

Traffic was temporarily halted on the Strand today as the parade made its way from Exchange Flags to Castle Street, James Street, and on to Liverpool Parish Church. It came after Liverpool Scottish Regimental Association were granted the Freedom of Liverpool.

Brothers David, 69, John, 73, and Stephen Halvorsen, 65, from Dingle, were among those to take part in the parade today.
