THE former first minister Humza Yousaf has announced the birth of his second child with wife Nadia El-Nakla.
In a post on X/Twitter, the SNP MSP welcomed the new baby to the world and said both mother and child were doing well.
Yousaf and El-Nakla already have one child together, four-year-old Amal, with Yousaf also being stepfather to 14-year-old Maya.
"Welcome to the world Liyana Jenin Yousaf, we are in love," he said.
"Mum and baby are doing well.
Welcome to the world Liyana Jenin Yousaf, we are in love. Mum and baby are doing well. Amal is super excited at becoming a big sister, and Maya is very happy to be the head of our girl gang. The couple announced the pregnancy back in March.
It would have been the first time a first minister had had a child while in office had Yousaf not resigned back in April following his decision to scrap the Bute House Agreement with the Scottish Greens.
