Humber ports director on how the blue economy is helping green up the Energy Estuary

Humber ports director Simon Bird has reflected on the huge strides being taken to clean up the region following COP 26 president Alok Sharma’s visit to Hull earlier this month.

The lead figure in the latest round of climate negotiations helped launch the Oh Yes! Net Zero campaign in the city, joining an influential gathering at Reckitt.

Mr Bird and colleagues were in the audience for the event, and he said work already done had paved the way for the high profile kickstart of the movement. It aims to attract buy-in from organisations of all sizes, targeting individuals too.
