Closer ties in a new era of trading are to be explored between the North Sea port giants the Humber and Rotterdam.
A special online session is being organised, with stakeholders in the region urged to participate.
Dafydd Williams, Associated British Ports’ head of policy, communications and economic development will be joined by Annemieke Hol, business manager for logistics at Port of Rotterdam as well as Patrick Gommers, business manager at smart software solution provider Naviporta.

The event is being moderated by Albert Straatman, director of Rotterdam Port Promotion Council.
He said: “Rotterdam is the gateway to and from Europe and a major hub for the UK. The wide range of roll-on roll-off connections and short sea routes is a key asset and includes an impressive number of scheduled services.
“The Hull and Humber region is a vital link in the chain between the UK and the European mainland. Making the most of the opportunities on offer requires knowing each other well and exploring the benefits of further cooperation.
“This port call will examine these relationships from various perspectives and look at the latest developments on both sides of the North Sea.
“We’ll also explore the digital tools in place to facilitate the transportation of fresh products between the two regions, which will also inevitably mean looking at the effects of Brexit.”
It takes place from 9am on March 9 and comes ahead of the launch of full physical checks on goods coming to the UK from the continent in July.
Customs controls were introduced in January, with both delayed from original dates.
Millions of pounds have been spent on new facilities at Hull, Immingham and Killingholme to handle the additional work as a result of Brexit changes to trade flows. Stena Line, working with ABP on a huge new roll-on roll-off terminal for Immingham, recently switched its Rotterdam sailing from Killingholme to Immingham.
The freeport concept will also be outlined to the online audience.
