Human remains recovered from a railway embankment have been identified as belonging to a pensioner who went missing 14 years ago.
British Transport Police said the 'skeletal remains' found in Hull, East Yorks, in December belonged to Michael Conboy, who disappeared in 2009 at the age of 80. Officers were called to the scene at Brackley Park after they received reports that human remains had been unearthed.
Detectives released images of a watch and "New Zealand" key ring that was found close to the remains. Shortly after, Michael's relatives got in touch prior to DNA confirmation, the police said.
