Despite a number of rogue transfer links linking Bristol City to two defenders this week, speculation has gone relatively quiet following Kane Wilson's arrival.
It's not particularly surprising with three names already through the door and reports linking City with Kenneth Paal and Tennai Watson on Tuesday were deemed to be nothing more than just agent talk.
It's also muted over the outgoings of some of City's players. Kasey Palmer is still expected to sign for Coventry but there's no news over the contract situations of Robbie Cundy and Andy King.
Although there is some movement among City's Championship rivals and here is a roundup of the latest transfer rumours from around the league with the wheels firmly in motion.
Hull launch £3m offer
The Tigers have made the first move to sign MK Dons' highly-rated midfielder Scott Twine, according to John Percy.
He claims City's Championship rivals have made a £3million move for the talented 22-year-old who is on the radar of plenty of clubs this summer. The deal also includes add-ons and could therefore rise. It would constitute the biggest transfer completed by a Championship side so far.
Twine's numbers were outstanding last season as his side narrowly missed out on promotion from League One. He scored 20 and assisted 13.
The player spent five years with Swindon before moving to MK Dons last summer for a bargain £300,000 fee.
Blackburn midfielder heading to Bournemouth
Blackburn Rovers midfielder Joe Rothwell is set to make the step up to the Premier League having reportedly held 'advanced talks' with the 27-year-old.
Nottingham Forest were also interested in the midfielder but Football Insider say the Cherries are 'ahead' of the race as he prepares to leave the club on a free transfer.
Rothwell was a key figure in Blackburn's side last season, scoring three and picking up 10 assists in 41 Championship appearances. Bournemouth are yet to make a signing as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.
Cardiff make signing number six
Bluebirds boss Steve Morison is not messing around this summer. He's just pulled off the sixth signing of the window with the arrival of right-back Vontae Daley-Campbell.
The 21-year-old was a free agent after he was released by Leicester at the end of his contract. He spent the second half of last season on loan with Dundee.
Daley-Campbell follows in the footsteps of Ollie Tanner, Callum O'Dowda, Jamilu Collons, Jak Alnwick and Ebou Adams to have signed for City's Severnside rivals.
Four Championship clubs look at Brighton defender
Coventry one of four sides looking to sign Brighton defender Alex Cochrane, according to The Sun.
Luton, Queens Park Rangers and Rotherham are in for the 22-year-old who is a natural left-back but can also play as a wide midfielder. Brighton extended his contract by an extra 12-months this summer after he impressed during a loan season with Hearts.
A loan deal could be in the offering for Cochrane but much could depend on whether Brighton lose their first choice left-back Marc Cucurella who has been linked with a move to Chelsea.
