Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris is on the recovery path after being ruled out for a number of weeks with a knee injury.
A picture of the goalkeeper’s knee in a brace with heavy strapping and supported by a cushion underlined the extent of the ligament issue that he suffered in the weekend win over Manchester City.
Although Lloris completed the 90 minutes, it was revealed on Wednesday that he will miss between six and eight weeks of action.
Standard Sport understand he will not undergo surgery on the injury.
Instead, his recovery began with the brace posted online by Marine Lloris, the player’s wife.
Lloris, 36, could be back after the international break at the end of March with reserve goalkeeper Fraser Forster in line to face Leicester on the weekend in his absence.
Spurs also considering a temporary deal for a free agent to bolster their squad in the meantime.
Retired ex-Watford keeper Ben Foster, 39, is under consideration with academy shot-stoppers Alfie Whiteman and Brandon Austin not considered ready if called upon.
