Hugh Laurie cast aside his trademark clean-cut look for a grey bushy beard as he took his dog for a walk this weekend.
The actor was unrecognisable as he sported the new style in London on Sunday.
The usually smart and suited TV star went for the laid back look as he stretched his legs in the capital.
Hugh, 62, wore a warm beanie hat as he kept the chill at bay, keeping it casual with a pair of trainers and a jumper.
He looked like he didn't want to be recognised as he strolled through the streets before letting his pooch have a play in a park.
Hugh previously spoke about his grooming routine as he explained how he preferred the less impeccably-primped look of British men compared to their American counterparts.
He told the Irish Independent : "I generally prefer the way Englishmen look to American men. No matter what their job is, American men are immaculately groomed.
"Their hair is blow-dried, and they all seem to carry a comb in their pocket.
"I recently had dinner with George Clooney; he was impeccably turned out. You don't see so much of that in England, outside of football's Premier League. I love going to an old English barbers for the experience of it.
"I prefer a relaxed approach to looking good. Over-grooming seems a waste of time; one could learn the trombone instead.
"When I see very well-groomed men, I treat them with suspicion. It's easy to become misguided in terms of what looks good. Try to keep some perspective - don't get carried away."
Hugh has been keeping busy in the past year.
He has been directing an eerie new upcoming three-part series Why Didn't They Ask Evans?
The mini-series, adapted from the novel of the same name by Agatha Christie, is expected to be one of BritBox's most successful and most-streamed original series, and features a star-studded cast including Will Poulter, Jim Broadbent, Nia Trussler Jones, Richard Dixon and Lucy Boynton.
Back in April 2021, Laurie told Deadline that he had fallen "deeper and deeper in love with the characters" while filming the series.
"The hairs on the back of my neck haven’t properly settled down from the first time I grasped the beauty of the essential mystery," he said.
"Since then, I have fallen deeper and deeper in love with the characters, and feel immensely honoured to have been given the chance to retell their story in this form. I will wear a tie on set, and give it everything I have."
