An ex-girlfriend of the late Playboy magazine creator Hugh Hefner has claimed she once walked in on him engaging in sexual acts with a dog.
Sondra Theodore dated Hugh – who passed away in 2017 at the age of 91 – from 1976 to 1981 and claims she saw outrageous happenings inside the Playboy Mansion.
The 65-year-old says she was horrified to find her lover in a compromised situation with their pet dog – and said she refused to leave Hugh alone with the animal after she witnessed the shock events.
Sondra, was herself one of the infamous Playboy bunnies and was Playmate of the month in the July 1977 issue, made her disturbing claims in an episode of documentary series Secrets of Playboy which airs in the USA on the A&E Network.
She is shown on camera saying: "I walked in once and he was... to my dog, to our dog.
"I was like, 'What are you doing?' He says, 'Well, dogs have needs.' And I said, 'Stop that'."
The former model added: "I never left him alone with the dog again. I couldn't believe what I was seeing."
Later in the interview, Sondra claims that another dog became addicted to a Class A drug after sniffing up the substance inside the mansion.
She said: “There were drugs everywhere... Hef’s best friend, he had a dog Louis — and this tiny poodle got hooked on cocaine."
She added: "The dog could smell it from across the room. He had to lock that dog up when people were around.
“A very famous person walked into the house one night and that dog jumped off the couch and was licking her up the nose.
“She goes: ‘He just loves me.’ We knew why that dog was on her."
A string of bizarre stories about the later magazine publisher have come to light in recent weeks due to the ongoing docuseries – including accusations Hugh was secretly gay.
Jennifer Saginor has claimed that her father, a doctor named Mark, was more than Hugh’s personal physician.
She told the A&E series: "My father, Mark Saginor, was Hugh Hefner’s best friend and doctor for about 40 years. Their friendship was like, next level.
"They were just soulmates. All the girls would sort of come and go over the years, but they remained constants.
"In my mind for many years, my father and Hef were in a very close friendship for many, many decades.
“What I’ve realized over time is that their connection was much more than just best friends.
"They had a physical relationship. In the context of these different orgies, the orgies sort of started as something that was an opportunity for people to sort of experience their open sexuality.”
She continued: "Over the years my father really gave up his family life, his practice, to be with him.
“I don’t know many men who would just basically give up their own life and then move into some other man’s house."
She concluded: "It’s my personal belief that the love of Hef’s life was my father.”
