Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Eberstein donated £10,000 to a non-profit organisation that provides free plumbing to vulnerable people.
Hugh made the donation over the weekend via a Gofundme page set up by the organisation called Depher.
The fundraiser was put in place so the organisation can continue to provide services across the UK amid rising energy costs.
James Anderson, who was born in Liverpool, founded Depher [Disability and Elderly Plumbing and Heating Emergency Repair] in 2017 after dealing with people in deprived circumstances suffering from poor heating and plumbing.

Mr Anderson, told PA: "This has come when we need it the most, many lives will be saved because of their generosity and support.
"This donation will put food on tables and warmth in the hearts of hundreds and thousands who are dealing with the cost-of-living crisis and poverty.’"
Along with his team, Mr Anderson has been supporting the elderly, vulnerable and disabled members of the UK for six years, and as a community interest company, he said they have relied on donations to provide free services during the winter.
A massive thank you to everyone who has Donated to @Depheruk, your support is amazing.

Mr Anderson said: "As we all know, it will be tough this year for many people and families, especially the elderly and vulnerable.
"With the cost of energy and essential bills increasing every day, we do all we can to support many who come to us for help.
"Please consider donating, we will ensure that the people who need their independence and surroundings keep them."
