Former Premier League midfielder Paul Merson has said that Forest are in ‘huge trouble’ should they not turn their away form around before the end of the season.
The Reds have struggled away from home so far this season, picking up just five points on their travels. The last away game saw Steve Cooper ’s men fall to a 4-0 defeat against relegation rivals West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Forest are back in London this weekend as they take on Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs go into the game looking to bounce back from what has been a disappointing week which has seen them exit the FA Cup and Champions League as well as fall to a 1-0 defeat against Wolves in the Premier League.

The Reds meanwhile will be looking to build on a 2-2 draw with Everton at the City Ground in their last outing. But if Cooper’s side are to take anything from the game, then they will have to break the away day blues that seem to be hanging over them.
Ahead of the game, Merson has said that Forest’s Achilles heel could hurt them by the end of the season. The former midfielder backing Antonio Conte’s men to take all three points from the game.
“Nottingham Forest are awful away from home,” he wrote for SportsKeeda . “Unless they sort out their away form, they are in huge trouble. They need to start getting results on the road.
“Nottingham have earned just three points away from home this season. As a Premier League side, you've got to do better than that.
“Tottenham Hotspur fell to Wolves in their latest outing but they've got a great opportunity to bounce back and regain their confidence here.”
Paul Merson’s prediction: Tottenham 3-0 Nottingham Forest
