A huge terrifying spider sparked panic in an Ayrshire garage after crawling from underneath a motor.
The unwanted eight-legged visitor raced across the warehouse ground putting workers in a panic.
Halloween came early to Caledonian Vehicle solutions in Ayr when the enormous creepy crawlie popped out to say hello on Friday afternoon.
The firm shared a spooky snap of the frightening creature joking that it now ‘owns the place.’
Customers were left stunned at the images which showed a light brown coloured spider with hairy legs and body.
One customer commented: “That’s a nope from me.”
Another commented the classic Gif taken from Forrest Gump which sees Forrest sprint away.
Another simply added: “Holy moly.”
Another customer joked they never knew the garage was selling a Ferrari Spider.
Caledonian Vehicle Solutions chief Jason Skimming told Ayrshire Live: “Some of the boys were just washing a motor.
“It must have been hiding underneath one of the cars. It was really exotic looking, my first thoughts were that is definitely not a house spider.
“It started running along the ground.
“It ran inside the warehouse bit, there was a bit of a panic with some of the boys.
“I’m not going to lie, I was tempted to just close up and hand over the keys to it.
“In the end someone bravely just got rid of it.”
Jason suspects the guest could have been a Crossweb Orbweaver spider.
The species is the UK’s largest spider with some females bodies reaching 20mm.
The spider has been reported to bite but only on rare occasions.
