Party go-ers in Edinburgh were seen in a lengthy queue for a pub before 9am.
Residents were lining up to head into the Three Sisters in the morning, as people across the city prepare to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. The queue, which had built up before the pub opened at 8am, continued on towards the Grassmarket.
The Cowgate venue has a full day of celebrations planned, including a performance from special guests Jedward.

Posting the video, Maxine Meighan said: “My friend just sent me this video of the queue outside Three Sisters pub in Edinburgh for St Patrick’s Day.
“This was pre-9am. I have a feeling there are gonna be some sore heids tomorrow.”
Another resident tweeted; “The Paddy’s day drinking queue at Three Sisters is nearly back to the Grassmarket.
“It’s 8am. By that measure, it may be messy.”
Situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s ‘Little Ireland’, Three Sisters is open from 8am until 3am on Saturday morning. Guests can also anticipate ‘craic’aoke’, live performances, drag acts, and a free breakfast.
Prizes will be up for grabs throughout the day, including a trip to Dublin and tickets to see Irish popstar Dermot Kennedy.
