Huge housing development on the former Hoover factory site in Cambuslang given the green light

South Lanarkshire councillors have approved plans to develop 71 homes at the former Hoover factory in Cambuslang.

Proposals for the housing development were given the go-ahead yesterday (November 22) and will see a mix of private housing and affordable lets.

The land where the homes will be built is south of Dale Avenue which forms part of the cleared site of the former factory. The Hoover buildings were demolished in 2008.
