A spacious property with the potential for five bedrooms or more has gone on the market on a sought after street where house prices have more than doubled.

Warren Drive in Wallasey on the Wirral snakes from Grove Road all the way to New Brighton Train Station. It is lined with mature trees and massive period homes.

According to data, houses on Warren Drive had an overall average price tag of £532,750 over the last year. The figure is a whopping 106% higher than the previous 12 months.

The property on the market is currently two separate flats but is being sold as a five-bedroom home with potential for further rooms.

The two homes could not be more different at the moment, with some rooms dripping with original features and character and other areas tastefully modernised with stylish, modern fixtures.

The striking entrance hall has monochrome floor tiles, a solid wood door, stained glass windows and an elegant period fireplace, as well as various antiques.

It provides access to the decadent ground floor flat, with bay windows and vintage style furniture pieces such as chaise lounges, opulent drapes and brass bedframes.

The apartment has a spacious living area with a stone fireplace and ornate coving on the ceiling, with patio doors leading to the garden. The dining area is also scattered with mid-century furniture and another huge fireplace.

The kitchen also has a touch of vintage charm, with cream cabinets and flecked worktops.

The ground floor flat also benefits from a sun room, which is being used as an additional lounge and dining space. Upstairs is the second flat, which has its own entrance as well as has three bedrooms, its own modern kitchen space and bathroom.

The home has parquet flooring and heaps of natural light. The current owner has used splashes of rich colours, mirrors and houseplants to create a minimalistic and stylish space.

The upper floor lounge has a huge bay window that lets natural light flood in. The space could be easily converted into a spacious master bedroom if the house is returned to its original state as a family home.

The property is on the market with Bakewell & Horner for offers in the region of £775,000. The estate agent said the listing is an "incredibly rare opportunity".
