Firefighters tackled a huge blaze at a recycling centre in south London overnight after it sent thick plumes of smoke towering over the skyline.
Around 100 firefighters brought the blaze in Landmann Way, Bermondsey, under control shortly before midnight, after the alarm was raised at around 5.30pm.
In a statement, London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighting will continue overnight as crews work to fully extinguish the fire and damp down remaining hotspots.
“There are currently no reports of any injuries.”
Images near the scene showed thick plumes of smoke rising above surrounding buildings and the LFB urged people living nearby to keep windows and doors closed.
Station Commander Wayne Bloomfield, who attended the scene, said: “Firefighters have been working hard to extinguish a fire at a recycling centre. At the height of the fire, a large amount of refuse and a warehouse unit were alight. There are currently no reports of any injuries.
“Loose embers were also reported, which is normal during large fires. Residents were advised to pour water onto them if they were concerned about loose embers on or near their properties, but if they did catch something alight, to call 999 immediately.”
The fire's proximity to rail lines sparked travel chaos on trains to and from London Bridge station through Monday evening.
Fifteen fire engines were scrambled to the scene, with fire chiefs saying crews were still expected to be at the scene on Tuesday morning.

Footage shared online from the scene showed huge plumes of smoke billowing out of the building.
London Fire Brigade also shared pictures from the scene of its firefighters battling the enormous blaze.
Two of the LFB’s 32-metre turntable ladders were deployed to fight the fire from above.
National Rail warned the fire was causing major disruption to rail services.
Southeastern and Thameslink trains going to or through London Bridge could be cancelled or diverted to different stations, or run only part of the normal route.
Passengers planning to travel from London Bridge on Monday evening were advised to find an alternative route.
Passengers were also advised to avoid London Charing Cross.
