A huge emergency service response were called to the docks after a man was seen in the water.
Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire and Rescue and North West Ambulance Service were all at the scene near the Tate art gallery, which is near the Albert Dock, today at around 3.30pm. A video of the scene also showed emergency services near William Jessop Way.
A Merseyside Fire and Rescue spokesperson said two fire engines were sent to the scene, along with a search and rescue team. On arrival, crews were met with a man in the water.

He was rescued to the dock side and was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service. A force incident manager for Merseyside Police said they were called after a man was seen in the river.
They also confirmed he was recovered by the fire brigade and taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance at an incident close to the Tate Liverpool art gallery, Liverpool.
"Crews were alerted at 3.26pm and two fire engines along with the Search and Rescue Team were on scene at 3.32pm. On arrival crews were met with one casualty in the water, the individual was recovered to the dock side and conveyed into the care of North West Ambulance Service Paramedics."
