Edinburgh city centre was rocked by traffic chaos this morning after a power cut knocked out traffic lights in the city.
The provider SP Energy Networks tweeted earlier this morning, just after 9:30am to say that the EH2 area had no power and their engineers were working to restore supplies.
Edinburgh Council followed this up with a message saying that some traffic lights had been cut off due to the power outage, including those at West Princes Street.
A council tweeted said: "A power cut in the EH2 area seems to have knocked out some of the traffic lights, particularly around the West End of Princes Street."

The local cafe, Contini Bites, who are situated on George Street, at the entrance to the Scottish National Gallery, say they have also been affected.
They said that they had been informed that the power outage would last at least until 11am but were at least keeping warm.
They said: "No power on George Street until 11am ish but we’re all bright and cosy at The Scottish Cafe."
The creative designers Wolffe, based in Hill Street, also tweeted asking if anyone had a power outage in central Edinburgh.
Edinburgh Live have contacted SP Energy Networks for a further update on how long the power cut will last in Edinburgh today.
Traffic was already troublesome in the city centre this morning.
There are long tailbacks at Ferry Street works with three-way temporary lights on Ferry Road.
Westbound traffic is also queued back to Great Junction Street.
And Eastbound traffic is slow from East Fettes Avenue, with a 15-20mins drive time to Newhaven Road.
