A man in his twenties has been rushed to New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following an incident just off Leith Walk.
A large police presence has been seen in the Leith area of Edinburgh following reports of a "stabbing".
Several police cars "flew through Easter Road" to Albert Street to an incident as the Scottish Ambulance Service raced to the residential street, just off Leith Walk at around 2.22pm.
According to an eyewitness, there are police from "top to bottom" on Easter Road.

They told Edinburgh Live: "There is a massive police presence on Albert Street. They were flying through Easter Road just ten minutes ago."
The witness added: "I overheard the word 'stabbing' on the police radio and I asked one of the policemen there, I think he was an inspector, and he said it was a stabbing."
A shopkeeper in the area told Edinburgh Live: “There was an assault in the same place last week."
Another local said: “I just looked out of my window and saw the police cars and tape outside. Not sure what happened but looks very serious.”
A spokesperson from the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call today at 2.22pm to attend an incident on Albert Street in Edinburgh.
"We dispatched one ambulance and a 3RU unit to the scene. We transported one male patient in his 20s to New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
