Plans for a new Edinburgh student accommodation complex show there will be over 200 bedrooms over two huge buildings.
Ahead of the public consultation for the new student accommodation at Eyre Place in the city developers have revealed their masterplan for the site.
But Edinburgh Live can reveal that there will be a total of 210 bedrooms, over two buildings, one six storey and the other another small one with four floors.

The developers, CA Student Living, are now moving ahead with their plans and the public consultation started today (February 23) to give locals a chance to have their say.
CA Student Living are also holding an online event on March 3 and hope to have the whole project approved by the City of Edinburgh Council by the end of this summer.
The Eyre Place Lane site has previously been used as a builder’s yard which formerly contained three derelict low storey buildings. These functioned as an office, shop, and storage facilities for the builders’ yard and these have now been demolished.
CA Student’s new accommodation would be partially within the New Town Conservation Area and the New Town Gardens and Dean Historic Garden Designed Landscape. The Edinburgh World Heritage Site Boundary is located further to the south of the site.
The wider surrounding area is predominantly residential, with a range of services and amenities close by, including shops, offices, cafes, and restaurants.
The Rodney Street and Dundas Street local centres, as identified by the Edinburgh Local Development Plan, are both a short walk from the site and the city centre is approximately twenty minutes’ walk from the site.
The proposed development is partially within the New Town Conservation Area and the New Town Gardens and Dean Historic Garden Designed Landscape but the site is not located within the World Heritage Site.
Fletcher Joseph Architects prepared the design statement on the planning application for CA Student Living and seemed confident they had proved the development would be an asset to the city.
They stated: “The proposed development will make efficient use of this highly accessible, central site and provide much needed student accommodation.
"The design development has taken account of the characteristics of the site and surrounding context and seeks to positively enhance the street scape, creating a sense of place.
"The proposed student accommodation use is in keeping with the surrounding mix of uses and will help support local services and amenities.”
