A huge bargain and hardware shop has opened on Edinburgh's main shopping thoroughfare, replacing a popular clothes shop.
Pound & Beyond recently opened on the Princes Street unit which was formerly known as Next before it closed down in 2020 and moved to the £1billion St James Quarter.
With the large ground floor store being vacant for many years, it has been given a new lease of life as the independent Pound & Beyond has moved in either side of Levi's and Edinburgh Gifts.

Pound & Beyond also has two large window displays in sticking with the typical Princes Street tradition, with a range of bags, suitcases, electrical goods and gadgets advertised in both.
In November 2022, we reported how the upper floors of the former Next and Zara stores are set to be converted into a luxury £100million rooftop hotel.
Ruby Hotels plan to open their first Scottish location with a rooftop bar offering stunning views of Edinburgh Castle at the end of 2025. Another bar open 24/7 will also be located within the hotel.
The 300-rooms will span seven floors on one of the city's busiest and historic streets in an attempt to attract more tourists and breathe some new life into the capital's centrepiece.
