Huge cordon as unexploded bomb found in home

A huge cordon was put in place after an unexploded bomb was found in a home.

Merseyside Police rushed to Town Meadow Lane in Moreton, Wirral, at around 12.45pm on Thursday, July 28, following reports of an unexploded bomb being found in a home. Once officers arrived they put a large cordon in place on the road and requested the assistance of North West Ambulance Service and the Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search (EOD) group.

EOD officers worked to remove the bomb safely and the road was reopened around four hours later.
