Huge antiques fair returning to the RDS featuring David Bowie's favourite record player

Dublin's RDS will once again play host to Timeless, a huge antiques fair featuring one-off, affordable antiques and unique finds.

Running from September 23 until 25, the Irish Antique Dealers' Fair promises "a fascinating blend of contemporary and antique-focused exhibitors" that will appeal to all ages.

Included in the range of interesting and sought-after antiques that will be there as part of the fair is an original Brionvega RR126 record player and speaker set, identical to David Bowie’s personal model which sold recently at Sotheby’s.

Additionally, there will be an 18th century side-table by an iconic Dublin designer among a collection of iconic Irish furniture.

One of the new attractions at Timeless is Kilkenny-born antique consultant Philip Byrne of McBain & Byrne, who sources pieces for large homes in the UK and is looking forward to advising collectors in Ireland.

The iconic Dublin cabinet-maker Robert Strahan will be represented at the fair with a c1850 mahogany chest of drawers, fully restored, courtesy of Yeats Country Antiques.

Art lovers are also in for a treat at Timeless when it arrives at Dublin's RDS with some of the country’s top galleries in attendance.
