Huddersfield Town receive extra tickets for Nottingham Forest play-off final clash

Huddersfield Town have announced that the club has received additional tickets for the club’s play-off final clash with Nottingham Forest.

The two teams are set to meet at Wembley on Sunday to fight for a place in the Premier League. Forest earned their place in the showpiece occasion after a dramatic penalty shootout win over Sheffield United.

Brice Samba proved to be the hero on the night for the Reds, as he saved three spot kicks to put Steve Cooper’s on the verge of climbing back into the top flight. The play-off final will also represent the club’s first Wembley appearance since 1992.

Forest have provided ongoing updates surrounding ticket sales, after first being made available to season card holders last week. The club announced, a few hours after going on sale, that supporters had already snapped up more than 17,500 of the club’s 36,475 allocation.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield issued a statement on Monday (May 23) confirming that the Yorkshire club have been given a “small number of additional tickets”. Though the number is unspecified, it is stated that these were not part of Huddersfield’s initial 36,486 allocation.

More than 28,000 Forest fans have already bought their tickets, with season ticket holders eager to see the club play under the famous arch. Both Nottingham Forest club members and fans with a booking history of at least three games this season are now eligible for tickets.

From midday on Tuesday (May 24) fans who have attended at least one game this season will then be eligible. And then 24 hours later, tickets will be opened up to any supporter with a Forest booking history.
