We’re officially one week away from the 2023 NFL draft, and Howie Roseman held his annual state of the process address on Thursday.
The Eagles GM talked about Jalen Hurts’ contract and how he’ll approach roster building and draft value with two first-round picks.
Bijan Robinson has been linked to the Eagles for weeks, and he’d give Philadelphia the most explosive offense in the NFL. Still, the NFL is all about value, and the organization has led the league in rushing by utilizing a committee approach.
With things heating up, here are takeaways from Roseman’s media session.

Howie Roseman talks Jalen Carter

When asked how the team would handle the background work, Roseman left that to the head of security.

“We rely on Dom (DiSandro) for things like this. Every decision is unique to the player.” #Eagles
