Fish and chips fans can get their hands on thousands of free dinners over the next few months.

National Fish and Chips Day is today (June 2) and to celebrate, vinegar brand Sarson’s will be reimbursing chippie dinners to Brits who "chip in" to support their local fish and chip shop.

This scheme has been launched to help local chippies as the price hikes on fish, oil, potatoes and energy are leaving many owners ­struggling to stay afloat.
