How you can get free bus fare in Bristol this Saturday during Pride Day

With Bristol all set to celebrate Pride this weekend, we have taken a look at what perks you can get if you’re attending any of the events - including free bus fares. While the day’s gigs are free, organisers have asked for those attending to pay a small amount that will go towards the Pride charity itself and the ability to make the beloved event happen.

On their website, organisers have explained why there is a need for donations from supporters. They said: “We firmly believe in making Pride accessible to all, not just those who can afford a high ticket price. But we need your support. Bristol Pride is a not-for-profit charity and every penny from our supporter wristbands goes to make Pride happen.”

For these reasons, those in charge of the event will be asking for a small donation of just £4 as people come through the gates on the Downs for the festival part of the day. The parade will remain a free event for all.

But if you’re wanting to show your support even more, there are other deals that all supporters can access for the day which offers them a range of great rewards - all costing just a little extra. With a range of deals to choose from and a range of events, we looked at which offers you the best deal.

One of the best deals is the Pride Day Supporter Wristband, which only costs £7, plus a £1.52 booking fee. In this deal, not only do you get a ton of freebies and reduced prices at stalls, you also have a dedicated festival entry gate lane as well as free bus fares on all buses throughout the day on Saturday.

Not only will you be able to access the Pride Day shuttle bus for free, you will also be able to travel on any First Bus in the Bristol Zone for no charge at all. All you will need to do is show drivers your wristband and you should be able to hop on the bus for free - perfect for getting in and around the city before and after the event.

For more information on the perks you get with each wristband type, head to the Bristol Pride website. Children on the day do not need a wristband to enter the festival but a donation would still be appreciated.
