As the relentless winter weather creeps in ever so slowly, people are having to rise ten minutes earlier to complete the dreaded morning ritual of defrosting car windscreens before they can safely drive to work.
While the usual method of cranking up the heating and putting the A/C on full pelt can sometimes take an era, and the old 'boil a kettle' hack can be detrimental to the glass, it's hard to find a quick and easy method to get the job done.
Thankfully, one woman has recently shared some brilliant advice on defrosting your car faster - and it won't cost you like trusty de-icing formula, which can tally costs up quite quickly.

The Mirror reports that by using the power of social media, Sara Deutsch explained how a simple change with regards to how you position your sun visors could make the world of difference when it comes to heating your car quicker. In a video posted to TikTok, Sara explained how motorists should pull their visors into a downward position when defrosting their windscreen.
To get things started, drivers should blast hot air onto the window as they usually would - but make sure their visors are down, as if the low sun was shining through. They will find that in-turn, the defrosting process becomes such quicker thanks to one simple but effective change.
Captioning the post, Sarah wrote: "Teen drivers need to know this! Frozen windshields are about to be a thing with all the cold and snow."
She explained: "So, I do this video every year. If you have a windshield that is frosted over - make sure to put your visors down, so it stops the airflow and it creates a faster defrost on your windshield. If you ever have a sheet of ice on your car or when it's frosted - put the [sun visor] down. Otherwise, you can feel the air come straight up over it.
"If you put the [sun visor] down, it creates a block, so that it actually defrosts faster."
Sara's video has surpassed a whopping 2.7million views at the time of writing, and has left viewers flocking to the comments to praise her simple tip. "That's actually pretty smart," one gushed, while another, added: ""Teens???? I'm 40! I didn't know that!"
A third, commented: "I'm sorry a teen driver… I just learned this at 32 lol."
